It all started with a hoodie in 2022... After a tough break-up, and the most grueling final text (and swift-block) Aaron has ever seen/received, he found himself going through all of life's negative emotions. Like a guardian angel, Aaron's mom reminded him that he should also reflect on the positive things his now-ex would say about him. It took a couple days... But he finally got around to it. "'Oh yeah, she always said that I was 'super human'. Like really human.'" Aaron wrote the words down on a piece of paper and pondered. What's the core of being "super human"? The letters "u r human" lit up! Aaron (for whatever reason) immediately created a hoodie design that read sUpeR HUMAN as a way to try to remember the positives in his sea of sadness. After showing the hoodie design to his brother Simon, a brief conversation between the two led to the brand being officially trademarked in 2024.

Aaron designed the logo shortly after, solidifying the brand's concept and identity.

Having no background in fashion, Aaron set out to teach himself how to build a brand. Last year, after interning for nearly a year at a Brooklyn-based brand, Aaron took a Leave of Absence from his corporate consulting job to get U R HUMAN off the ground. From the time of his leave to the end of 2024, Aaron and his friends completed 70+ pop ups and sold 550+ pieces (each printed and designed by Aaron). This solidified proof of concept.

U R HUMAN is a lifestyle brand that serves as a reminder of our shared humanity and a recognition of the up and down journey to one's own authenticity.
